Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. or MET, a leading sales company of elevators, escalators, and moving walks, is committed to business excellence alongside social responsibility. We believe that actively contributing to society fosters sustainable development. One of our proudest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives is the Hometown School Development Project.
The Hometown School Development Project provides employees the opportunity to participate in the development of schools in their hometowns. Employees can nominate schools in need of improvement for student benefit. This year 2026, BanTabba School, Khon Kaen was selected, following a nomination by
Mr. Saksit Phanhinlat, a mechanic from the Maintenance Department. The project focused on constructing a Multipurpose building, funded by Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and donations from its employees and business partners. The building was designed by students from INDA, the International Program in Design and Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University.
Mr. Katsuya Kawabata, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd., accompanied by volunteer employees, subcontractors, and university representatives, led by Associate Professor Chittawadi Chitrabongs, Ph.D. from INDA and the students, nearly 100 people handover the building together on 21st February 2026.
In addition to the handover, we participated in a Robe Offering Ceremony and provided educational equipment and supplies. Solar-powered lighting has been installed in this new building to promote environmental friendliness and help reduce global warming. We also planted trees in the school area as part of our environmental initiative, "One Lift You Need, One Seed We Plant," which aims to support environmental conservation and expand green spaces.
MET, we sincerely hope to contribute to enhancing the quality of life for children and sending positive values in society for the future.
